Just recently some guests stayed at the cottage who were happy to answer questions about their visit to the cottage and the area. For Mike it was a repeat visit to a familiar place; for Barbara it was her first trip to Perthshire.

What attracted you to visit this area?

To visit family and explore the area.

Has the area surprised you?  If so, in what way?

Spaciousness of the landscape, uninterrupted views,  clean air and birdsong.  Lots of different types of woodland nearby.

What local attractions did you visit during your stay?

Glamis Castle; Pitlochry; V&A Dundee; Lunan Bay; Pitmuies Gardens; Schiehallion;  Cairngorms and the local towns of Blairgowrie, Alyth and Kirriemuir.

You are keen walkers; how would you rate the walks you have done during your stay?

Very good; varied countryside nearby.  Good long walk from the back door.  You could walk for half an hour or five hours.

How was your accommodation at Chapelton?

Comfortable; well-appointed with tasteful interior and in a lovely location.  Spacious and clean with all the things you need.  Loved the fire place.  We slept very well in comfy beds.  Chapelton Cottage is a lovely place to return to.
